born again

40-days-before-bday crisis over!

I think that yesterday I felt my birthday having come for the first time ever.
Technically, it is today - 18th of August, 0:20 am. But due to the time difference, while here in Spain it was still the 17th, in Siberia, where I was born, the 18th already came.

About 7 pm I was sitting on the terrace staring at the pool and suddenly - whoosh! as if my eyes had opened and I saw everything for the first time! "Wow, look at that... the sky, the trees, the birds... something blue and playing... the water? Wonderful!" I was suddenly full of love and very curious. "Hm... - I thought. - I've just been born!" (it was probably exactly 0:20 am in Siberia).

So, I am born again! cool!

That's an interesting theory about the 40 days. I know I always used to panic around my birthdays but now I've had so many I'm sort of getting used to them...:)

well you know - yes, there is something in it... With this explanation I feel kind of more secure. "Oh, it's this crisis again - no worries, it will be over by bday..." Another theory says "52 days". In fact it goes like this: every birthday we are kind of "born again" hence start "new life". 52x3=156 days from birthday - activity, new beginnings, changes, whatever you like. Coincides with childhood - adolescence - early adult life cycle. The next 52x2=104 days: analyzing, making use of what went well and getting rid of what didn't go that well. Mentally, emotionally or physically, whatever is applicable. This is kind of "getting over the hill", "adulthood time" - in terms of one year. And the last 52 days - settling accounts, drawing conclusions from this year experience for the next year to come. (Preparing for the next reincarnation? :) Not a good time to start things, but very good for filtering them and putting them into retrospective (I didn't really get the difference between No. 2 and No. 3 cycles, maybe No. 3 is even more passive and introspective? Have to ask again). I imagine astrologers should have some idea - it was my astrologer friend who first explained this theory to me. Well... it's some comfort, isn't it?

It's very interesting. It seems a bit like dividing the year into four tides. Thanks for posting! :D

Thanks! :)

Since you say "not much to say" - I take it you didn't notice anything special sometime before or around your birthday? Well, maybe this "theory" is relatively personal... it does affect some people and does nothing for the others. Hm... could be...

The theory certainly put the things in place for me, now I have a clearer picture. But even before I heard about it (a long time before!) I already noticed a couple of tendencies:
a) my birthdays begin as a disaster but usually get sorted by lunch;
b) my personal year doesn't start on the 1st of January and end on the 31st of December - not at all, it is August, 18 - August, 17. All big changes (change of a job, of a house, of a partner, of a continent...) happen in September-October. Sometimes November. The official New Year day is just one more reason for having a good time ;) but does buggar all to me in the sense of major things.

But this might be just my own personal thing. Although a few people do agree that they feel "strange" sometime before their birthday...

Cheers, have a nice day!

Ok..!
Allow me to answer my own way.
It always depends on the individual spirituality of how we see things. Since there are more than one views, it is fatal for these views to confront if the individuals are not wise enough to give space to different aspects.
I say all these because I don't want you to misunderstand my point of view.
As a person I happen to be a very low profiled one, but NOT low self esteemed. If I was to consider my birthday as a turn point of world history and evolution I'd surely be the president of my country by now. But I am not.
I could be, but it is not in my character wishing so.
I can tell you are truly romantic - as a Slav you are -
since I once had a girlfriend from Siberia who was a very giving person rather than asking. I don't want to spoil this romantic view of yours regarding your birthday. If you asked me I couldn't say if I am still romantic. I used to be, but now... only somebody else should say that for me.
I agree that January 1st is a fraud as the beginning of the year. Normally it should be March 21st when the Sun starts to climb latitude.
I hope you will understand my point of view and let me wish all the best for the future to come.
Thank you for your time..! Cheers..!

I agree that March 21st is the beginning of the year; Aries being the 'baby' of the zodiac. What is your birthsign Redflaw?

That might be fair - if we talk about the whole planet. But on the individual level, my own new year begins 18th of August - and it is a turning point of MY personal history (not the world's one :), and I am trying to be my own president (not the other's). Take the reins of my destiny in my hands (or mind, more like). I might be a nuissance and repeating myself but it does click with the tides and cycles of my life (that makes me think of Smashing Pumpkings: "Can I handle seasons of my life?" :) Learning to...

And of course everybody is free to have personal opinion about whatever! :) thanks for yours, Redflaw!

I am a Taurus May 6 2000hrs 1961. My horoscope is Scorpio.
On the Chinese I am by coincidence the same which means the 'Ox'. Unfortunately I have no personal experience about Leo. I do believe that astrology has something interesting to say, but I am not really into it.
